The Good Ache is a small-class yoga practice for people who want real attention, not a crowded room. Never more than 5 students per class. Always space to be a beginner.
The good ache is the quiet proof your body did something today. It's effort and rest in the same breath, and it's the whole philosophy of this practice.
Classes are taught by a lifelong dancer turned yoga teacher, built for beginners and kept intentionally small so every body in the room gets seen, adjusted, and encouraged.
Never more than 5 students per class. You're a person here, not a mat in row six.
Every pose has an entry point. No experience, no flexibility, no fancy leggings required.
Energizing morning flows. Slow evening unwinds. The work and the recovery are equally sacred.
Mornings are timed for the school drop-off crowd, done by 10:15 with the rest of your day ahead. Wednesday evening is for everyone clocking out at five.
New class times are added as the community grows. Saturday mornings are next. Join a class to be the first to know.
I'm an Illinois native with a BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where I also earned my 200-hour yoga teaching certification. Dance taught me to ask a lot of my body. Yoga taught me how to give it back, and that second lesson is the one I love teaching most.
I started The Good Ache because the classes that changed me were the small ones: rooms where the teacher knew my name, noticed my wonky shoulder, and never made me feel behind. That's the room I keep for you. Whether it's your first class ever or your five hundredth, there's a mat here with your name on it.
Off the mat, you'll find me performing, crocheting, or somewhere deep in a Lego build.
